Quick Visits: How To
- See any patients who are coming in for a Quick TS Visit (BP check or med check, etc)
- Present the pt quickly to the Attending, but let them know that this is a Quick Visit and the pt will be followed up more extensively at a regular appt. The Attending needs to briefly eyeball the pt, but that is all!
- If it is a BP check and the pt’s BP is NORMAL (i.e. – you are not making any changes) — you can present the patient to the Attending at the end of the day.
- If patient is coming in for Colonoscopy Prep review, please review the following documents with them, and prescribe the necessary medications.
- Co-sign your brief Student note to the Attending you presented to.
Note: Please write your Quick Visit note as a TS Sign-Out/Plan Of Care note via Visit Navigator (so you don't have to write a separate Student Note and then sign-out yourself).
Note: include the entire problem list in your QV note, even if not everything was addressed, for the sake of continuity
