Lutheran Medical Center Podiatry (Brooklyn)

Services: A variety of services are offered, from healing foot pain, heel spurs, bunions, and other common foot problems. They also specialize in diabetic wound care.

Appointments: Necessary in advance

Cost: If uninsured, discounts are offered based on family size and income. Patient must provide proof of family size and proof of income when applying for a discount. Patients can call 718-630-6252 for assistance with financial inquiries.

William F. Ryan Community Health Center (Upper West Side)

Services: The Ryan Center offers complete podiatry services.
English and Spanish spoken

Eligibility: Proof of income, address, and photo ID required. Must call in Advance

Cost: Based upon a family's size and income for uninsured patients. Receive a discounted rate for paying on day of visit. Laboratory work, general x-rays and EKGs are included in the fee for each visit. Patients without prescription insurance will only pay $10 per generic prescription.
For mothers who don't have insurance and are in need of financial aid, the Ryan Center offers assistance with applications for the Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP) and other financial assistance programs.

Settlement Health Services (East Harlem)

Services: Mission is to provide East Harlem/El Barrio with high quality, comprehensive, accessible and culturally sensitive preventive and primary care services, and to coordinate the other levels of health care that are necessary. Services include women’s health, pediatrics, adult medicine, podiatry, HIV medicine and case management, and social services.
English and Spanish spoken.

Cost: Free or sliding scale depending on service

Eligibility: Regardless of legal status, Walk-in possible but appointment preferred

Boriken Neighborhood Health Center (East Harlem)

Services: Boriken Neighborhood Health Center (EHCHS) is a not-for-profit community-based organization established in 1965 to provide crucially needed services to residents of East Harlem. Today, EHCHS is a bilingual/bicultural organization providing a broad range of services to a largely Latino clientele. Full health and dental with pharmacy among other social programs.

Cost: Sliding scale starting at 15 dollars, accommodations available for uninsured patients

Eligibility: Regardless of legal status, require proof of income and picture ID. Appointment or Walk-in (appointment preferred).

Language: English, Spanish; interpreter services available.
