Services: Shelter, other resource information, and assistance for single individuals or families. Emergency shelter.

Eligibility: All families and individuals applying for shelter must have valid original identification or documents to prove their identity. In addition, all applicants should also bring documents that demonstrate proof of their recent places of residence.

Languages: Website translates to nearly 100 languages. Spanish friendly on hotline.

Prevention Assistance and Temporary Housing (PATH) Office

Hours: Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Application processing from 9 am to 5 pm during the week.

Services: For single pregnant women and families with children under 21 who are applying for shelter for the first time; need to have identification, such as a welfare ID card, green card, driver's license, passport/visa, or picture employment card.

Eligibility: Verify that the applicant couple is either legally married or has obtained a valid domestic partnership certificate; or Prove medical dependency of one applicant upon another; or Establish that two or more adult applicants as listed above share a care-taking (emotionally or physically) relationship and can demonstrate that they have resided with one another for 180 days within the year immediately prior to the date of application for Temporary Housing Assistance or can provide birth certificates to prove a parent/child or sibling family relationship.

Languages: Interpreter assistance available if the individual does not speak English.

Adult Family Intake Center (AFIC)

Services: Adult shelter

Eligibility: Adult families with no children under 21. Must have valid, original identification and proof of residence within the past year.

The Barretto Street Safe Haven (in the same building as the Living Room) has 50 beds for homeless adults The Pyramid Safe Haven has 125 beds for single adult males. Housing placement and benefits assistance, Medical and psychiatric care, Nutritional assistance, Medication monitoring, Substance abuse counseling, Drug and alcohol treatment referrals.

Services: Emergency assistance drop-in center for shelter. Soup kitchen, showers, and other services available to members of the program.

Eligibility: Clients may drop in during business hours, see intake, and may join the program if they qualify (cannot be part of another program for at least the past year).

The Gathering Place

Eligibility: 18 and older, both men and women.
