WHEN A PATIENT ARRIVES IN CLINIC:
- Check in patient in CERNER: Actions → check in Press OK Verify the patient’s name, DOB, sex, address, e-mail, and phone number, make sure they are SELF PAY. Indicate interpreter status and preferred language. Fill in any additional info, select ok.
- Assign patient to a clinical team: Change the provider of the patient to the assigned senior clinician. To do so, in the “Schedule” screen, highlight patient, click “Change Provider”, find senior’s name, and accept.
- Green Light Patient in EPIC: Go to schedule, highlight the patient, left click in the left most column, and select the green light. This will tell the teams the patient is ready.
