We now have the option to CURBSIDE vascular surgery referrals with Dr. Ajit Rao. Please see complete instructions in the tabs below. Full visits require charity care.

Senior Clinician

Place an order in Epic.Before clinic ends, communicate the necessity and urgency of the referral to the TS.

Teaching Senior

Verify there is an active order in Epic.Add the referral to the ACT Referrals Spreadsheet, "Referrals Request" tab and include the patient's availability for scheduling (day/time).

Access to Care Team

EMC is not necessary because Dr. Ajit Rao curbsides these appointments.Get patient's availability and add to their ACT Problem List in Epic.

Cost

Curbsides are free.

Wait time

It takes about 2 weeks after a patient has received charity care for a Vascular Surgery appointment to be scheduled. Urgent referrals can be expedited. Contact the Ambulatory Referrals Manager [George Mellgard (mailto:george.mellgard@icahn.mssm.edu) if the referral is urgent and needs to be expedited.
