1) Email email@example.com with all new referrals by Sunday night:
- during sign out, make a list of all NEW referrals provided to patients. In sign out for each patient, DOCUMENT ONE LINER JUSTIFYING THE REFERRAL FROM A CLINICAL PERSPECTIVE AND THE URGENCY OF THE REFERRAL
- You must confirm that the “consult” order was placed as an Order (check “Amb Referrals” tab in Chart Review in EPIC)
- At end of clinic day, email firstname.lastname@example.org the list of pt MRNs and referrals placed through MSSM email
2) Email chief TS with potential chronic care issues or any problems during the day
3) Finish up your TS notes!
- DUE BY SUNDAY NIGHT
- You should route your notes to Ophtho attending, the chief TS, as well as the clinician team
4) Follow up on any Ophtho related issues that may arise during the entire month that you are on-call.
