Getting started
Before you making a new page, you should consider where users of that page will be coming from. In order for users to find your page, they will need to have a link to it from some existing page. It's easiest to create this link first.
While viewing the page that should contain this link, look for the Edit button in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and tap or click it:
If you're not logged in
You will be asked to authenticate, if you are not logged in. Provide the first part of your @mssm.edu address.
A message will be sent to your email address containing a six digit code. If you are on a phone, you may need to switch to your mail client.
Switch back to the EHHapp. You will be asked for the code. If you don't see a place to enter it, you may need to go back to the page you were editing and click Edit again.
Once you're logged in
You should now be looking at the page editor.
Add a link to your new page anywhere using the Markdown convention of [Text in the link](PageName)
(Be sure there is no space between the ]( or it will not create a link). The PageName
part will be the URL to the new page and can be anything with letters, underscores, and hyphens. The full URL that will show up in the browser address bar (and can be emailed, etc.) is http://ehhapp.org/PageName
.
For complete instructions on using the editor, see Using the Page Editor.
Once finished, save the page and tap or click on the new link to the page to be created.
Creating the new page
You should now be looking at a page similar to the following:
Click the big Create this page button, and you should be looking at a blank page editor.
For complete instructions on using the editor, see Using the Page Editor.
Once you save this page, your new page will be live (if you are an editor) or held for approval if you are a normal user.
