Housing Resources

Edit

Many patients at EHHOP face housing insecurity. Please refer patients concerned about housing to ACT. Depending on the details of the case, ACT may potentially refer these patients to social work. Please do not give any (unrealistic) expectations about what either ACT or social work will be able to accomplish, as resources for rent relief and eviction protection are unfortunately extremely limited.

ACT

This is a broad description of how ACT will handle housing-related concerns.

  • Patient with a new concern: Provide patients with information about the eviction moratorium and refer to social work, if requested.
  • Patient with a repeat concern: Refer to SW and NYLAG, if landlord is threatening eviction.
  • Patient with a complicated concern: Refer to SW and NYLAG.

This is a broad description of how social work will handle housing-related concerns.

  • Provide with support and any resources, if available
  • Refer to NYLAG, if needed.
