Vaccine Schedules / Resources

Edit

If you give a vaccine with more than 1 dose required

immediately make a LABS ONLY appointment for the follow-up dose. Ask CM to indicate the reason for the visit, write in your HCM section, and clearly indicate in your notes the dates and reasons for future vaccines.

If they have an appointment on the date next dose is due indicate VERY CLEARLY in the HCM section when this dose is due.

Hepatitis B

Follow the EHHAP page directions. As of Dec 2022 - " The hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all infants, all children or adolescents younger than 19 years of age who have not been vaccinated, all adults age 19 through 59 years, and adults age 60 years or older with risk factors for hepatitis B infection." All patients should get HBV serologies (HBsAG, anti-HBs, and anti-HBc). If they are not immune initiate a vax series (if it is 2 or 3 vax will depend on which brand you use, check the vial). Testing for immunity post vaccine is not recommended unless immunocompromised or on hemodialysis 1-2 months after you finish the series. More helpful HBV vaccine info here.
